Build Trust with Consistency

Today’s networking landscape has dramatically changed due to the technological advancements we have at our fingertips. As with all change, there are pros and cons. It can be easy to reach out via email or text without considering a personal phone call, or stopping in to visit randomly.

However, networking groups allow for consistent and regular face-to-face interactions which allow us to get to know one another over time. Socrates said, “Be slow to fall into friendship; but when thou art in, continue firm and constant.” Our networking forums allow for this perfectly!

Outside of your networking groups, take care to go the extra mile to ensure your contacts know that you value the relationship by making a few additional efforts to keep in touch. Examples may be; coffee once a quarter, a spring fever golf game, or stopping into the office for a quick hello.

Finally, providing referrals is always a surefire way to let your referral network know how much you trust and respect them! We are huge fans of the give-to-get mentality as it ties in with 3 of our core values: community, generosity, and collaboration.

Most importantly, have fun and don’t be afraid to get a little creative!
